American Express and Delta Air Lines are launching a new no annual fee credit card. The Blue Delta SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express is the newest addition to the Amex & Delta Card product portfolio, which was designed for newer travelers looking for ways to easily earn miles in their daily lives. It also comes with a small signup bonus.

The Blue Delta SkyMiles Credit Card offers:
- No annual fee
- 2 miles per dollar spent at U.S. restaurants
- 2 miles per dollar spent on purchases made directly with Delta
- 1 mile per dollar spent on all other eligible purchases
- 20 percent savings in the form of a statement credit on all eligible in-flight purchases when flying with Delta
Elite Qualifying Dollars
Effective February 1, 2019 (in line with the beginning of Medallion Qualification Year), Card Members who only have a Blue Delta SkyMiles Credit Card, will not be eligible for the MQD waiver.
However, if a Card Member has a Blue Delta Card and another Delta SkyMiles Credit Card (Delta SkyMiles Credit Card, Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card, Platinum Delta SkyMiles Credit Card or Reserve Delta SkyMiles Credit Card), their spend on all of their Delta SkyMiles Cards, including the Blue Delta Card, will count towards the MQD waiver threshold of $25,000 in eligible spend annually.
The best things about this card is that you can spend $25K in 2019 and receive qualifying dollar waiver, it has no annual fee and it also has a small signup bonus. This is definitely not the first card you should be looking at if you need SkyMiles, but it could be an option for those who have already received a bonus from other Amex cards, or those who want to downgrade their Amex Delta cards.
